In order to assess the potential development of Kendal Port, we need to consider socio-economic aspect, business development plan, and technical aspect such as hydrodynamic and morphodynamics study. The sediment rate is also strongly influenced by the natural and geographical conditions of an area so that deep studies need to be carried out in each region. In principal, sediment particle is transported by currents, river discharge, waves, tides and other factors. Morphodynamics study means the study of sediment transport in the long-term perspective.
