![]() I do upload my music to iTM since it's often special mixes or masterings. They still have some kinks to work out obviously. It doesn't work 100%, but it can be quite well-worth the fee. This is especially valuable to people who purchased earlier DRM'd iTunes store files, or who have lots of music from low-bitrate sources. The reason for the fee is because you can 'match' music from all types of different sources and get a cloud copy from the iTunes store. The other thing I'd point out is Match is doing more than uploading your music for $25. I'm not sure why they didn't use MP3, but maybe it was because of the superior sound quality (especially back when they were using 128kbps).
